The website said it is very similar to Panera Bread's recipe.
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar (use the best quality you can)
1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh basil
1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh tarragon
1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh chives
1 small garlic clove, minced
1 dash salt
1 dash fresh ground pepper
3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Combine vinegar, herbs, garlic, salt and pepper in small mixing bowl. Mix well with a whisk. Slowly pour in the olive oil while continually whisking in order to form an emulsion.
Refrigerate and use within a week.

I've never been to Panera but here's mine. It's 3 Tbsp balsamic, 2 Tbsp lemon juice, a little lemon zest, a spoonful of minced garlic, 1/2 cup of olive oil, salt and pepper, and the secret is a GOOD Tbsp of honey. Shake it all up and you're done!

You could try adding some honey mustard to it - that would add a sweet tangy zip to the dressing.

balsamic vinegar is sweet, unlike normal vinegars. it is worth it to invest in a good one rather than just colored wine vnegar (most "balsamic" in america is just that) ask at a gourmet shop.
it is costly, but worth it.
