Of course it wouldn't be this way if Eve and Adam had of been obedient. Well, this is why God sent His son, to die in our place. We aren't able to be obedient or without sin..Otherwise, everything would have been perfect and beautiful. We had it all right there in the garden,a beautiful perfect life. Now we have to wait until Christ returns to get us and take us with Him.

Actually if you go by the bible and Adam and Eve were made in the image of god. Then they should have had perfect genetics.

That means there should have been no recessive genes to cause birth defects, disease and aging since god is immortal.

All of Adam and Eve's children were forced by god to commit incest since there was nobody else to procreate with except mom, dad, brothers and sisters. So if Cain and Abel had children it was either with mom (Eve) or their sisters.

But if Adam and Eve's DNA was not perfect then the birth defects caused by such close interbreeding would have made the first family a lot like a West Virginia family reunion.

Let's change the whole kit and caboodle and look at it from THIS angle: It's a story that covers the concept that man has a pure mind, free of deluded thinking, but at some point chose (or chooses), instead grasping and attachments or aversions to concepts, things, people, etc. (thereby needing to cover "nakedness" and so on, because aversion to the body is a serious situation, OR the attachment for which you would also need to cover the naked body) and tossed his/her OWN darn mind into chaos (the punt from "paradise" with the alleged angel or sword) and therefore we're stuck in cyclical existence by our own grasping and attachments to our own deluded thinking, ego, etc.

How's that for a kick between the uprights? Just for fun, not to offend.

If God is omnipotent and all-knowing, then why would God forbid us from eating the fruit of the tree, when God knew we would have eaten it anyway. If the fruit were forbidden, why not get rid of the temptation to begin with.

The Bible is a great book of stories, but should in no way be taken literally at every turn.

The story that is written in the bible is an interpretation of earthy facts by people that first of all didn't and don't comprehend the truth, and then revised what they did comprehend to serve their purpose. As for the temptation, it was the serpent that spoke to Eve and talked her into eating the fruit first and then she talked man into eating. christians have told me that the serpent chose Eve because the female is weak and easily deceived. But I personally know plenty of guys that are easily deceived too. As for the temptation, why would God have to tempt anything it created? Adam and Eve has free will. By giving humans free will would suggest that God doesn't know everything. And if God does, for what reason would God become angry when it knows what we will do, and then let's itself get angry because we did just what God knew we'd do. Doesn't and will never make sense to a common folk like myself. I'm a simple man, so please enlighten me. Moreover, throughout the bible one finds that God is constantly seeking to prove to humans that it is great. God is constantly, setting up props, watching and letting situations get so out of hand, to only bust in like a HollyWOULD super hero and save the day. Honestly people, what does God have to prove to humans? are we still so dayum arrogant that wee think that God has to continueously prove to us. Have we made ourselves GODS and GODDESSES that are more powerful than God? Ok, then when God comes into the garden and has to look for Adam and Eve because they hid themselves? And there you have in the bible God calling out to Adam.....where are you hiding. does this sound a bit strange to even christians that God doesn't KNOW where something is. Then on top of all this Adam starts winning and blaming Eve. Adam wasn't even man enough to say I eat it myself because you gave me free will and the woman didn't hold a gun to my head. It's a shame that a whole empire can be built on lies and decite. You figure God would not allow such things, but what if God is not the God liars have made HIM out to be. And for what reason other than seeking to make people think that males are more superior would those liars make God out to be MALE, and then blame the woman for many terrible things that happened? Common sense tells one that if the God of the bible is truely the one god then God is both male and female. After all, isn't God ALL THINGS.....the Alfa and Omaga. The Almighty did do its work........... god didn't . You are here aren't you?

Interbreeding would be all people come from adam and eve. Honestly, we take a bite of a fruit and God is soooo mad that he curses us for ages. What a horrible role model for a parent.

Honestly one serpent turned the world up side down. How idiotic can you get.

of course--old hebrew slang, serpent means vagina(they called the penis and the vagina the serpent and the anathor, an anathor being a heated rock made for cooking, serpents were naturally attracted to it) Initially Adam and eve were immortal, so breeding would have quickly ovverrun the planet if nobody died--their punishment was banishment so that they would no longer eat from the tree of life, and thus would age and die

There is absolutely no mention of an apple in the Bible story you refer to. Right-thinking Christians do not take the Bible literally.

If like you said, Fruite=sex,
Then without indulging, adam and eve would be the ONLY people on earth.

if that is the case then why did god tell adam and eve to be fruitful and multiply? what you have done is what most christians do. you have taken the bible and interpreted in such a way as to mean what you want it to mean.
