The b/f/fiance should be a man and love her for who she is, not what she looks like. If he runs, it wasn't love.

First... love should conquer all. That being said, there is a certain amount of things you friend should be aware of.
If someone truely loves you, they love you for who are. If after this type of accident, your outlook on life changes, or your behaviour changes or you slip into depression or you become less trusting about peoples true intentions or feelings, the you have changed. Then if this person whom you were with before the accident breaks off the relationship, then you MUST consider that your actions and the changes in your personallity may have motivated them to move on.
So.. how do you keep them. First, she must remain true to herself and realize that her life may have been changed more than just physically because of this accident. Then sit down with the other person in the relationship and have a frank and open discussion. She should be willing to accept the fact that she changed as a person (not just physically) and this 'new person' may not be the person the other fell in love with. She would then have to make a decision to decided if this is the person she wants to be.. or should she make efforts to 'change back' into her formal self.
This type of life experience can make some people stronger, some weaker, some more independent, some more dependent upon others, some less confident, some more confident. It could have been a positive affect and it could been a negative affect.
Once she has sorted out her life and who she is TODAY, she can the better asses her relationships.
Hope this helps and good luck!

if her fiance is with her for the right reasons, he will stand by her side no matter what condition she is in.
Love has a way of seeing past the outter appearance.
I would tell you to encourage your friend to remember that she is still the person she always was. Life presents us all with challenges and obstacles, but no matter what she looks like on the outside, she is still the same beautiful person on the inside!
That won't be easy for her to accept initially and to demonstrate it to the world will take even longer, but if she can overcome the saddness and anger at what happened, she can turn it into something wonderful. She can even be an inspiration.
I heard on the Oprah show (don't laugh ok) about a woman who was shot in the face and someone heard about her positive attitude and can do approach to life after the accident and they nominated her for reconstructive surgery. SO, keeping a positive attitude can lead to great things!
God Bless and Good Luck to you both!

specific, i'm VERY attentive to that certainty. mutually as adultery isn't a criminal offense for civilians (different than in AZ if the injured significant different data the expenditures) that is unlawful under Article 134 of the UCMJ. If he did that immediately, he'd be project to trial by technique of courtroom Martial and if convicted, confinement for as much as a million years and dismissal from the army. A dismissal for an officer is the comparable as a Dishonorable Discharge for an enlisted person. I served for 21+ years and am a retired First Sergeant. On better than one celebration I watched enlisted workers get hammered for this, yet senior contributors of the "Fighter Pilot Mafia" have been given a bye on it. At worst the have been allowed to retire, or have been quietly swept to a "new" project the place the finished element became swept under the rug. in certainty, that is between the central motives that I retired as quickly as I did. based upon my protection rigidity provider, Senator McCain is a dishonorable snake. i might decrease my hand off until now vote casting for him, in spite of if i theory that he had the extra effective platform for the country.

If you are badly disfigured and your bf/fiance/husband or whatever wants to leave you simply because of that, he is not worth having in the first place.
He should be supportive and she shouldn't have to work to keep him. She is the one who has been through something very difficult and just needs the support of her loved ones.

If a b/f or fiance really cares and loves someone, disfigurement is not going to make him leave her.

This is a true test of their relationship.
I have been married for over 17 years and my wife is suffering from depression and MS. Some days are better than others, but we are still committed and that is what a relationship is about for better or worse.

Well if he loved her before he should still love her now. Maybe her looks changed but she is the same person inside.

If he was willing to leave over what she looks like, would you really want to be with someone that shallow, who only loved you based on looks?
