wow thats quite alot, pretty generous. usually if you really wan to tip, the loose coins from the change will do. unless they purposely give you alot of loose change, which i've heard of, then maybe u need not tip them.

I go for a rounding up.. so £8.50 would become £9, or £10 if I was particularly happy with the experience and result. If I'm not pleased, then no tip. I do not feel obligated to tip my hairdresser; you're already paying for a service anyway. It's not like a restaurant where in theory you're paying for the meal and a tip is for the service.
So it's based on convenience with money and a small reward for the hairdresser (although to some extent the bigger reward is repeat custom). I certainly wouldn't tip exactly 85p on a £8.50 haircut, and if I've been talked into buying some gunk that they get commission on then there's no need for a tip at all.

I think it depends on what you get done. If you have medium to long hair, I would tip more than someone who has short hair. Hubby usually tips $3-5 for his quick trim. I usually tip $5-7 for mine. The acutal cut is usually about $25 so I guess I'm a big tipper :o)

It depends on where I go. If its a new place, I tip 10 - 15%.
My regular stylist, I tip 20%. The cut cost $50 so I give them $10 for the tip.
They usually have one person wash my hair and another blow dry it other then my stylist. I give them $5 each (if I have extra) because I feel bad if I leave without giving them anything.

$a million minimum, 15% if paying money. If paying by applying credit card, evaluate 20%, via fact the cab motive force has to pay a 5-10% processing fee for accepting credit enjoying cards. once I artwork the low earnings neighborhoods, I in many cases get no longer something, at the same time because it runs 30-2 hundred% interior the middle earnings neighborhoods. severe earnings in many cases run below 15%. I quite have a video entertainment gadget with 3000 computing gadget controlled video clips, from song video clips to courses like the Muppets for toddlers. I even have rest video clips for those that've had a tricky day at artwork. I quite have a fifteen" video reveal screen. there's a motive force in Austin, TX who has a good greater tricky gadget than what I quite have. maximum cab companies do no longer acquire a proportion of the meter, so do no longer tell the motive force to coach it off early and that they gets a bigger tip. for many drivers, one hundred% of what they soak up, meter and concepts, for 2-3 days, is going to conceal their weekly settlement costs. As an proprietor-operator, I pay $230 each week, yet I pay all my own maintenance expenditures, plus finished insurance on the automobile. criminal duty insurance is carried by applying the employer. If I upload a motive force, it value me $60 each week, greater. regionally, employ drivers pay $450 each week. different cities value greater. right here, a taxi medallion value in basic terms $5000, which the employer owns. In ny city, they run $265,000. persons could have their own taxi medallions in NYC, yet generally, the only thank you to get one is on your father to own one and you desire he has a short existence.

Should you tip a hairdresser? I've never done that! As far as I know this is not common in Holland.

If it's my first time somewhere, I tip 15%-20%. If I am at my regular stylist, then 25%-30%.

I go with ten percent unless I'm really happy with it, then it's fifteen. But that hasn't happened in a long time !
