Haha, I'm glad I'm not going through this again. =b I just recently went through this with a Basset Hound puppy I got last month. And let me tell you...he was LOUD. Well the poor kitten probably misses his mum. You saif you got him at a dump? How old is the kitten? The people since they are kinda dump-ish people probably let him go too soon. He should be over 8 weeks. Well many people will say 'Oh it's just a phase' and you know what they're probably right. It ten to one is a phase. Give him a few more days and see if he keeps it up. If this goes on for more than a week maybe something is wrong. after another week ask the vet. We once had a kitten and he whined too much so we took him to the vet and you know what he had a bladder problem and it was very uncomfortable. His way of letting us know was whining. Well I hope I helped because I know what its like to not get any sleep because of a pet. Well like I said give him another week. He probably just misses his mum. Well, best of luck! Have fun with your kitten. And oh, try to get some sleep even if it means wearing earplugs. ;)

well really the kitten should have been with its mum till 10 weeks and the fact that its with you now may pro long the crying a little but like I said in the other answer just play with him lots and when he's tired let him sleep.....also make sure at this early stage that you give him 3 small meals a day....they have tiny tummies and find the food easier to digest this way. Also you can then make sure of what he's eating.
In another 2 weeks he should be all settled and happy.......but then again you could have a cat that likes to talk!!! Happy days! lol

Kittens should,nt leave untill they are 8-10 wks old. You may find its a bit lonely. Try offering condensed milk diluted with water, also play and cuddle it maybe it needs a soft bed. It will be strange for about 2wks but should come round after that. Contact the people who you got it from and they may be able to offer some advise

It will take a few days to get him use to it... for now you can spend a lot of time with him/her and also if you have a travel alarm clock (the ones that tick... tick.... tick) place it in the kittens favorite spot... it sounds like the moms heart beat and it will think she is there.... worked for my kitten when I was younger. Hope this helps!!

Hi:
I few days but if she is 6 weeks old. What I do is to take a warm blanket and form like a nest type bed so she can be warm. If you have the mother near by take the blanket and wrap the mother on it so that the smell of the mother is on it. This is my trick and it helps since has the scent of the mother.

If you have something with the mothers smell on it (like a blanket) then let the kitten sleep on it, it will comfort her, and i found it really helps if you put a clock under it so she can hear the ticking. sounds silly i know but i found it works. it reminds them of their mothers heart beat. but don't worry they will get over it. good luck.x x x

How old is it? They shouldn't do that anymore after 4-6 weeks old.
