This bugs the crap out of me...don't know why. It has got to the point where a childs parents are no longer "Husband" or "Wife", not even boyfriend or girlfriend. Sad state of affairs if you ask me, we need a designation for "That guy that knocked me up and took off." Can we just call him that?

How about my "Babies daddies!" It is annoying. Often times if the person is looking for real advice on a specific situation I try to over look this annoyance.

i agree with the first response, its so ghetto. People go to school and should have learned how to speak proper English...its not that hard, but i guess they are too lazy to do that, so they came up with a 2nd language..or slang

I dunno, but I hate that too. It's in such poor taste. Um a single mom and I refer to my son's father as just that. That other shyt it GHETTO as HELL. Um not knockin' the ghetto because that's where my roots lie, but I had to learn how to "code-switch"/ adapt to all circumstances. But in order to be correct with your black english vernacular---next time leave off the possessive "s". We don't add that in Ebonics. Um stating this in a jovial fashion, but BEV(Black English Vernacular) used to be something that we used amongst ourselves. Now with crossover entertainers, our sub-culture has bubbled to the surface. You know we'll just come up with some more colorful terms to throw y'all off. Be easy, Spinich.

No, you have it wrong. It's "my baby daddy." ;-)

Like the other girl said, it's a ghetto term. You don't hear it in intelligent conversation.
