I recently moved into a new house and at the moment it's just me and this really cute french girl staying here. She seems to be really intereted in me (we have chemistry) but she's only staying for one month. Is it a good idea to date her if she's leaving in a month?

Probably not if you want something serious, but if its just for fun then why not!

i was about to say yes, it's fine, (coz my cousin is dating a flatmate and i think it's going quite well for them) until i read the rest of the information. i think it's a good idea because it's convenient and you get to know eachother better, but at the same time, you may start getting sick of eachother quite quickly, so in some ways its better to live apart and then after some time, move in together. but the reason i think it's not right for you is because she's leaving very soon, and if you start going out, you might really like her and even fall in love, and then when she leaves...well, enough said.

Why not?
if she's interested and so are you!
I dated my flatmate back in 90's and we are married, 2 kids, house in UK, house, Portugal and we had absolutely "nada". We had to borrow money once to pay rent the 2 of us. We dated, things got serious, we decided to go FWD and i do not regret it.
If shes the one for life, you will know if she's not, she will tell you, meanwhile, get to it.

It depends what you are looking for. If you are happy with just having a bit of fun but nothing serious, then yes it's probably ideal. But if you want to have a long-term relationship, perhaps it will not be so simple. Think carefully before you start something like this!

If she's only there for a month then you might want to go ahead. Be careful though, because if you're reading this wrong, it could be a long month. If you think you know her well enough, then go ahead after all, it's only a month. tread lightly though. ask her to just go somewhere simple like to breakfast or something like that.

i think its a bad idea because if it doesn't last its gonna get awkward being around each other especially when you start dating someone new

date or "date"? if she's leaving in a month, it's unlikely that you'll continue your tryst long distance. if it's cool with her and there are no expectations to continue after she leaves, go for it. come on, mate... we've all seen the movie before sunrise.

if you don't want anything serious, go for it.
if you think its more than just sex/lust, don't do anything cos it will affect both of your lives when she wants to leave
