Boyfriend is all pissed that I'm having a girls only birthday party at a club. He went on location for work this week which is more than 200 miles away in another state, and was planning to leave tonight to see me in the morning to see me on my birthday. But now he's making me feel guilty that he can't come to the club part. I promised my girls it would only be a girls night out, should I invite him now? He's acting all pissy and saying that there is no point in coming down to see me now. We've been together for over 3 years and have just gotten over a mini breakup. What's his deal? What should I do? p.s. Me and him are spending the entire day together, then I'm going out with the girls later that night. So, he gets to see more for a LONG time.

Explain to him that you are going out for a girls night out and that is that. Certainly he must have guys nights out and this is healthy in any relationship. I believe that it would be large mistake to ask him to accompany you and your lady friends and he will get over his anger at present. Maybe give him some type of carrot to reduce his insecurity and/or jealousy by promising a night of fun and excitement when you return from celebrating your birthday with the girls. Happy Birthday, have fun with the girls and getting your boyfriend to act more maturely.

tell him to deal with it, but be nice about it. he may just feel insecure since u got over the mini-break-up so recently. ur spending the entire day with him, so ur entitled to a night out w the girls. Do NOt invite him now if youve already told the girls its girls-only. that'll make them feel like crap. spend the day with him then have a good night. happy birthday!

He shouldn't be so mad! Gosh, ALL girls, no matter what age or what maturity, love to have girls only time. It's fun and it helps keep us what we are: GIRLS! Guys should respect that and your boyfriend shouldn't be so pissed at you, he has no reason to be mad at you. I really don't get what his problem is. Just tell him that you want to spend time with your girlfriends and that you get to spend the whole day with him before that so he shouldn't be such a big baby!

Hes being wierd. Dont change your plans... If this relationship doesnt work out (which it sounds like you need to find a man who can handle being alone sometimes), your friends will always be there. Good luck
