An infant or even adult can die of Hyperthermia in a scorching hot car. I personally would activate 911, break the window, furthest from the infant and await their arrival. 911 is a recorded line, just tell the calltaker " I fear for this babies life i am breaking a window". I recently had a similar call where the parents left their child in the car "By accident" , but the baby was fine. Lucky she wasn't in the car too long and it was in a shaded area.
