I'm planning a night out & my stomach is not cooperating, what will work the best to calm it so I'll be able to eat & drink. Please note I live in Canada, so hopefully your answer will be available in our drug stores.

There's no stomach flu. Flu is a respiratory infection. You may have viral gastroenetritis or it may be bacterial. Unfortunately, there's no way for you to know sitting at home. An OTC antiemetic like Benadryl (yes, I know it's an antihistamine) or Pepto-Bismol can help. Pepto can also be used to treat both vomiting & diarrhea, Eating 4-6 small, bland meals helps. Switch to clear liquids if needed. Sip fluids throughout the day to replace fluids lost through vomiting. Your temperature hasn't been all that elevated but you can treat it with Tylenol or ibuprofen (your choice). Baking soda is used to freshen refrigerators and freezers but I've never heard of cornstarch used for this.
