Well there is certainly evidence that eating more (and more variety of) fruit and veg is beneficial.
As for cutting down on meat, that depends on the type and quantity of meat you eat at present. Perhaps switch from processed or red meat to chicken or fish?
The link below will tell you a bit more about this. But whatever you do I hope you enjoy what you eat!

It depends on how much portions you have a day of each. It also depends if you're eating the meat when it's cooked at the right temperature. But it is always good to eat more vegetables and fruits because you need the glucose that it gives you. It also depends on how much fat you're eating from that meat. But I say eat meat for dinner and for snacks have more vegetables and fruits.

You need all the food groups. Meat is important for iron. You can get iron from Spinach so alternate it with meat (4 oz max per meal). Fruits 5 times per day; Breakfast - fruit smoothie; Snack - apple; Lunch - Orange/tangerine; Snack - Dried blueberries or craisins; and Dinner - Banana or apple. Each meal should have a vegetable also.

It would definitely be a good idea to cut down on meat and increase fruits and vegetables. Your large and small intestines will love it. You will have more energy to do things. Your waist line will love it. You will lose weight and look great.

You don't need to cut down on meat to be able to have fruit and veg. Why don't u have your veg with ur meat you can find recipes that are actually really nice. For me cutting down meat would not be a big deal as i can have both, why don't you try it.

My advice is, you can eat anything in moderation. Apparently we are supossed to eat throughout the day, not just 3 meals.
Just don't have too much of one thing and vary your diet and you should be healthy. Obviously excersise has a big part to play also.
