I want to know if it hurts or not. Does it get infected easily? What about clanking on teeth? Will it get snagged?

to robbet03: I don't think it will hurt that bad. No need to get smart assed. I had my eyebrow pierced before and that's on my face (last time I checked) and that didn't hurt, so, your response is not valid.

Its a piercing, and all piercings hurt to an extent. Overall not that bad and I've never seen anyone cry from it other than SLIGHT eye watering. Mine wasn't bad, it was like a hard cheek bite.
It won't get infected if you take care of it, which is very simple to do.
As far as clanking on teeth, that should be minimal if the placement and angle of the piercing is done correctly. The only thing mine has EVER gotten 'snagged' on was the bottom of my teeth when I first had it done, but it hasn't really happened since I've gotten a better fitting piece of jewelry.
Main thing is to take care of it and use caution the first few days when your lip is sore and swollen, listen to your piercer well and never be afraid to express concerns or ask questions.

this is an extremely beautiful piercing. alluring in case you are not getting it at too huge of a gauge. No larger than 14! I surely have the middle of my lip pierced with a hoop and no it did no longer harm...shifting it around later did, however the truthfully piercing grew to become into extremely common. there is as lots flesh the place your piercing would be as the place I had mine...possibly fairly much less for you so i think of you would be only nice! good success to you!

Yes it will hurt.
It will also be ugly.
But not as ugly as the eyebrow piercing.
