If you've broken up with her you need to distance yourself from what she's doing in her life. It's not healthy. She's not living a healthy lifestyle either but it doesn't sound like depression to me. Sounds more like anger and acting out self destructively. She might be thinking she getting back at you or hurting you, but she's only hurting herself. The best way for her to discover that is for you to get out of the picture.
That's the only way you can honestly help her, especially if this behavior is for your benefit. It's tough, but you can't save her if she doesn't want to be saved. Don't let her keep hurting you.
Somewhere out there is a girl looking for a guy who has a heart like yours. She wants to be rescued and needs someone who cares like you.
Find her.

~It could be any number of different diagnosis, you aren't a doctor, so you can't make that prognosis. It sounds like something more is going on.
You putting her down isn't helping, saying she lost her mind. Her drinking is a sign that she is self medicating. She is not an idiot and I think she's doing the best she can.
If you truly care about her, talk to her or her parents and try to get her some help. Putting someone down with a mental illness isn't cool, they can't control it or make it go away any easier than someone with Cancer or Diabetes can. All you can hope for is that they treat it.~

Depression is usually characterized by sleeping too much or too little, no longer taking pleasure in things that once gave that person pleasure, eating too much or too little, feelings of hopelessness, and sometimes suicidal thoughts. Even physical pain can be a sign of depression. I recommend checking out the Mayo Clinic website on depression: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/depression/DS00175/DSECTION=2

It sounds less like depression and more like trauma or grief over the relationship ending. People in grief sometimes do impulsive or dangerous things. I don't think there's a DSM category for grief, but the symptoms of it more similar to adjustment disorders or sometimes PTSD than depresssion.

She's escaping reality with the alcohol and seeking love and attention therefore she is sleeping around. Sounds more like bad choices to me.

Could be a combination. She is going through something emotional. Talk to one of her friends, maybe they can talk to her.
