Ignore him.
They can be funny about people and sometimes will follow to see if they can provoke a response from you. He may see you as a threat to his flock and thinks he is protecting them from you.
You are best off to ignore him unless he goes after you aggressively.
Then silde your foot under his chest and flip him away from you. Be careful t hey have spurs and will try to kick you with them.
My rooster goes after me once and awhile if I am cleaning the coop and inside for what he thinks is to long. He will try to spur at my legs. I flip him over and show him my foot again. If he goes after it he gets flipped again if not I walk away and let him be.
Most times he just feels fiesty and then it is over. I have never gotten a mrak on me from him but he will try.
Good luck with your rooster problem.

Did you see him hatch out of the egg. If you did he might have imprinted (seen you as a parent) on you. Ducks do this, my ducks folowed me all over the yard when I was little. If you are the person in charge of feeding the chickens, he might follow you if he is hungry. Chickens make good pets. I had a rooster who would crow in demand, held him on my hand high in the air and said, "Crow big rooster" and he would crow.

If he's chasing you run where he can't get you. They're mean! I fhe's following you who really cares? It doesn't do any harm.
(If he tries to break in that's a different case ;)
