Does that mean that he could get up there and meet some of his victims? What do you think that meeting would be like?

Or...could he go to Heaven while his victims go to Hell?

Yes a murderer can be saved. King David was a murderer.

Heaven will be total forgiveness and sins removed. If he meets his victims, all have love in their hearts.

Of course, he could go to heaven and his victims could go to hell. Being a victim doesn't save you.

yes the murderer could go to heaven if he is saved. He and his victims will have no knowledge of what went down on earth. So the meeing would be cool. And yes some of his victims could go to hell because if they are not saved it doesn't matter whether they died a horrible death or not if they didn't confess and believe in Christ they are goners

This is a very good question. Would it be justice if a repentant murderer went to heaven and his victim (who had not yet had the opportunity to repent) went to hell.

The answer is of course not.

I think the answer in Christianity is that God is able to see the heart of each individual and make the correct call, regardless of what words of faith were or were not said.

I saw an interesting film about a group of natives that murdered five men, and then came to Christ when the men's wives went to their village. It seems for these murderers they found true forgiveness and appreciated it.

But I also saw the video tape of serial killer Ted Bundy talking about the "other Ted" that believed in God, and was kind and responsible. It seems unlikely that a man who could not stop killing until he was caught would have a place reserved for him in heaven...regardless of the guilt he feels after being apprehended.

God can forgive even murderers if they're sincere in their hearts when they confess their sins to God and call upon Christ for salvation. Any murderer that becomes born again through salvation in Christ will go to heaven - it is God's promise to those who are saved. A murderer's victims going to hell? That all depends on if any of his/her victims were saved by God's grace or not.

well Im not religious, however In the christian bible the rules are pretty much as follows, If the murderer repents and asks god for forgiveness he will go to heaven as for the victoms, depends on if they have been forgiven for there sins or not... I frankly think religion is a bunch of bull, however, I know a bit about it

Yes if his victims were not in Christ they could be in Hell. And yes he could go to heaven and meet his victims as well.

I think it would be a joyous reunion. The victim would be so pleased to see that his sin did not lead to eternal death. Once you experience God's presence you will want everyone to expereince no matter who they are. No longer will they be enemies they will be family in Christ! So it would be just like a common loving family meeting together.

I know you are wanting to upset people with this question, but if he is saved and his victoms were, they would be there together, but who knows if they would meet or not. all the bible says is the most vile sinner will be there if the hear, beleive, repent, and are baptized. The bible says that there are no tears in heaven, no sadness or sorrow.

Some say you will not remember being alive on earth. Kinda like recarnation now. Most people do not remember past lives.

Sure, he brutally murders a kind, loving atheist and then repents. He goes to heaven, the atheist goes to hell. Wonderful logic there...

God will judge the heart of men. There are some people who claim to know God, but their heart they are self seeking and serviing. I cannot judge one heart of a person. Only God can.

In heaven, is a state of perfection. Anyone there will not have any sadness or strife.

I trust in God's judgment of the heart. God promises that He will bring His message to every person, for He does not wish that none shall perish. Its a gift. The gift only has to be accepted.

my God is perfect, and able to Judge. His righteousness cannot even be fathomed.

No one here knows for sure who is going to heaven or hell except for themselves. How do I know I am. The Spirit of God witnesses to my heart. How do you know I'm telling the truth, you don't. Only God and I know fore sure.

God may forgive, but He does not take away consequences of our actions. I.E., I get drunk and crash my car. I lose my arm, and I seriously injure or even kill another person. The consequences: I can be forgiven if my heart repents, but I can never have my arm back or take back the horrible consequence of my drinking and driving.

All sins can be forgiven. But, at least in my mind, not through "cheap grace", by simply "accepting" Christ as your savior without clearly demonstrating with your actions that you regret what you did. And yes, that means, in the case of a murderer, that he should beg to be executed to truly demonstrate that he regrets what he did.
