Let my emotions get the best of me and react too fast without calming down and thinking first. I have created a lot of problems for myself in relationships. I have to stop and think and do the intelligent move instead of what comes naturally; "respond" don't "react."

I was spending the night at my nieces... Well, something happened...a very explicit conversation was being held. They were being very loud. I wanted to tell my neice not to repeat to her friends what she'd overheard. Everyone in the house heard it. Well, instead of tellin her mom that she heard it for herself.. she told her mom that I told her about it... Her mom wasn't happy. She called cursing me for everything under the sun. I wasn't too happy that my niece had lied. So, I went to my niece and apologized for trying to talk to her like an adult. I even told her that I should have known that she was just an immature teenager that couldn't handle an adult conversation like that. I told her that I'd never have another one of our talks again.. and to this day I haven't. We hardly speak now.. just to say hi and bye.. no more no less..

This is a reallly stupid answer for this category (family and relationships) but it is the only thing in my life I have ever regretted ... I gave away all my BOOKS once!!!!!!! Not bad if that's my only regret, right? Peace!
