I have tried several different types, gel, paste, flavors and I gag myself almost everytime!!!

I do this also. My dentist recommended using baking soda and then rinsing with mouthwash... but that gags me also... it wasn't as bad though.. so if you haven't tried that, do that first.

Now I just brush and gag and get through it some how... it is very unpleasent, but its just an overactive gag reflex and as far as I know there is nothing to stop it completely. =(

Its not the paste, its your gag reflex. Try smiling as you brush. Smiling wards off the need to gag. sounds funny, but is true

tooth paste has little to do with the gag reflex,..it's the toothbrush going way too far to the back of the throat that elicits the gag reflex.

Oprah uses baking soda....but if you try it - it has a very salty taste
maybe that would be better for you than the mint , thick pastey feel, ect....
