I'm a divorced mother of 4. In June things began happening that's destroyed us financially. In Sept. my bank account started suffering with numerous insufficient funds fees. My car was just repossessed New Year's Eve - & there's no reason for this financial fiasco with our efforts & skills. But nothing me or even my ex husband (a fantastic professional drywall finisher who so many contractors love) tries is working. Both of us are still without work and vehicles (he had been borrowing mine to get the little work he was because his broke down last summer and was non-repairable). The other night God told me to rebuke the devourer, that this isn't His desire and to take authority over this in the name of Jesus. I did. As of today, however, still no work. Please pray. Thank you so much!

Oh thank you so much for praying! My confidence is lifted and I know provisions are in the works.
To answer a couple of you - I have been giving to the Lord for many years. In fact, the reason my account bounced horribly in September was because of my giving to ministries who feed the hungry. With my permission I had them start taking specific amounts directly from my account well over a year ago. I don't have a church right now so I gave where I was being fed. In July and August monies were becoming more and more scarce but I allowed the pledges to remain believing God would provide so that the monies were in there for the next months payments - but it wasn't. I then had to cancel them.
I believe when you have a relationship with God satan will try to get away with anything he can in your life. My spirits had been down & each trouble that came along I allowed to bring me down & whine to God about instead of fighting. The other night God told me to use Christ's author

authority and come against all these attacks. He spoke to my spirit reminding me that Jesus purchased not only my salvation but my provisions and healings, etc, over 2000 years ago. These items were to be shipped to me in the appointed time. He said I had provisions shipped to me recently but the enemy was intercepting them and was getting away with it because of my negative, defeated attitude. He told me that if I'd have ordered something from a catalogue and it never came I wouldn't just sit there sad saying, oh, maybe it'll show up next week....or next week...or next week. Instead I'd make phone calls, I'd call the company on the negligence. I'd insist on them finding my product. I'd track what I paid for down and see to it I eventually got it. Just the same, I need to claim my rights to my provisions that were pre-paid for over 2000 years ago. So, that's what I'm now doing and I just wanted other believers to back me up because when 2 or more agree - it shall be.
THANKS!

Yes, I will pray.
Is it possible for you and your husband to reunite? It may help financially and in other aspects as well.

I will pray, and I have a question for you.
Are you tithing? I know it is hard to do when you do not know where your next meal is coming from, but if we do not tithe God will not rebuke the devourer.
We were in a similar situation, only we are still married, and the only thing that got us out is we started to tithe faithfully regardless of how things looked on paper, and in our rational minds.
Sounds to me like you are on the right path, continue to do just as you are and God will rebuke the devourer. Please find a church and remain faithful it helps to have brothers and sisters close by that we can lean on in hard times.
God bless

know that prayers are effective, but you need to do something about your life too. start picking yourself up from where things went wrong, identify and change them. get some help. i've read stephen covey's book, 7 habits of highly effective people, which could, i believe, help you to more or less get things done and going once again. have faith, and not doubt.
about your prayers, since you have prayed over it, believe, and receive with thanks. The Bible says you shall not condemn what you approve, for that would be eating of the fruit of sins, for it is without faith. if you really received a word from God, do it, and have faith, believe and keep pressing on.
and yes i shall pray for you too. may peace and blessings shower you and your family.
edit: the answerer below me reminded me, the Bible says in the book of Malachi that we shall tithe, and the Lord will rebuke the devourer for our sake. Have faith and tithe, trust in Him to provide. i'm in tough times too, but i still tithe no matter what, so have faith.

Thanks for letting us know how to lift you up in prayer.
Remember, though, that the Pharisees prayed all day and all night.
We must pray AND obey.
I'm sure you are; I'm only stating that as a reminder.
Just remember to give God the credit. He's already answered. You may not see it yet, or it may be a different answer than you think you want, but the answer is real nonetheless.

Holy God, Heavenly Father, King of Kings, Creator of the Universe!
We praise your name for who you are and what you have done and what you are doing. Lord I ask that you will work a mighty hand in the life of Paula and her family. Father open doors in her life in order that she may see after her children. Father use her as your tool. Continue Lord to fashion her into the likeness of your Son. Father we have faith that you are listening to us and you will respond to us. So Father, when you do respond may we all give glory to you and may Paula be a witness for your kingdom.
We ask this in the authority and the power of your Son's glourious Name.

How did someone gain access to your account? The bank should have some tapes to prove it was not you. Depending on where you live this is a great time to get a new job. Try walmart, target just until you can get what you deserve.

I'll be thinking of you. Just try to remember that most emotional pain comes from resistance to what is. Start with acceptance of your current situation, and you'll find that is the first step to changing your circumstances.
All the best

I beg your pardon? Rebuke the devourer? I don't want to belittle your problems but developing a bit of common sense and a sense of perspective might do you more practical good than belief in prayers.
