There is a new one accepting patients in the Ladysmith area. It is getting very busy, so there might be quite a waiting list already.

This is a tough one. I know because I just went through this myself in the last year.
There are no ways to gets lists of dentists who accept medical assistance...trust me - I've tried. And to the person who said to call your caseworker to find out, that does not work. Again, trust me - I've been there, done that. Even on dental clinic websites they won't reveal "medical assistance accepted" because it's supposedly "top secret" information. Apparently dental clinics don't get paid as much when patients use medical assistance...but I really don't know how that works.
Surprisingly though, once I started calling dental clinics and asking directly if they accepted medical assistance, quite a few of them said yes. I'm on medical assistance and I've found a dentist for myself AND a wonderful dentist for my daughter who accept it.
Just get out your phone book and start calling around. Good luck!

Not many is right. If you live in the Madison, Milwaukee or Green Bay areas you might have better luck. However, your ES worker should be able to provide you a list of providers....although you may have to drive a way to get the service. Oneida County received a grant from the state and was providing dental service through the County Health Department . If you have no luck with Social Services in getting a listing, call your local public health department. They should be able to refer you.
