from questions I have asked it becomes evident the the vast majority of people who say they are of a religion do not read their scriptures and that leaders with hidden agendas use religion to do bad things (good things too but these are not in error).
The scripture tells us to practice accountability (Mat 18 and letters to Tim) so why is it we do not practice accountablity????????????

Religions have a long history of imposing cruel behaviors on society (good too) and none of these things were actually in accordance with scripture so WHY DO CHRISTIANS AND MUSLEMS NOT PRACTICE ACCOUNTABILTY (Jews I am not aware of yet seems Zionist do cruel stuff as well)????

Can we start, should we start???

I have been saying that for years. Christianity was unpopular when I became one in 1976, but today everyone wants to be one, but problem is, they want to push their beleifs on others, and when we point out their sin, and that their life destroys all credibility to witness, they just like to say, but I am just a saved sinner and Jesus is not finished with me yet , and the bible says for you not to judge me and says judge not lest ye be judged.

There again, they forget the bible is written for the beleiver so the scriptures they push on otheres, but do not obey themselves, are for them to obey, not unbeleivers.

I think you're drawing your inference based only on those acts which happen to make the 6 o'clock news. But I think most christians and jews do value personal responsibility. I haven't known enough muslims to make a call.

Personally, I think you're asking from a totally emotional place with little or no factual basis. But your point is well taken. Personal accountability should be at or near the top of everyone's list of values.

It is absolutely in the belief system I follow that the concept of free will is incomplete until you finish it with accountability. Choice and accountability - they are inseparable.

Out of curiosity, what kind of accountability do you mean? Discipline within the church (like excommunication etc)? More teachings of accountability to God? More secular accountability to the laws of the land?

Thanks
