Boys and Girls Clubs, daycare, homeless shelters, women's shelters, places that have after school programs, Goodwill, Salvation Army......any or all of these depending on the material and content of the books you wish to donate.

If there are children's books - any daycare facility would probably be more than happy to take them. The good thing with salvation army is that you can then use it as a tax write off for the 2007 tax year.

Senior citizens centers are an idea place, just because they can't get out the way that they would like. If you have childrens books, any childrens hospital or ward would welcome your donations. Homeless shelters are also another good spot.
