I was given effexor to help with my anxiety problems and just wanted to know any good things or bad things people have experianced while on this medication. Thanks in advance!!

~I've been on Effexor XR for 6 or more years. It's the only one that helped me without serious reactions or side effects. I have sexual side effects, but if I chose to, I could take Wellbutrin to combat those side effects. Other than that, I'm happy with Effexor. I have gone off of it, not on purpsose, but could have had seizures.

I was on effexor for about 2 months it didn't work for me and it also made me vomit everyday so maybe that's why it didn't work not sure I spent about a year trying different meds and eventually just gave up and dealt with it on my own best cure for anxiety is being too busy to obsess over things

I have been taking effexor for several years now. I have had absolutely no side effects and it has helped me immensely.
