I had a raised and irritated mole on my arm...I put proxide on it, and it bubbled up. Now, it is flat, again...but tender.

I am calling my doctor, but I wanted to know if anyone has had anything like this. Thanks

A mole generally won't do this on its own - bleeding occurs only if it is scratched, or possibly if dry skin causes cracking. You mention that it was irritated, so its possible you did something to cause bleeding. I have had this happen in winter when my skin was dry, and the edge of the bath towel caught the mole just right and caused bleeding.

Unless you know you did something to cause the bleeding, it is good to get this checked by the doc. Bleeding moles are one sign of a melanoma, and melanomas are not much risk when they are caught early.

You're wise to see a doctor, especially for a raised mole. Be very suspicious of skin cancer and always protect yourself. Happy New Year.
