Condoms, and diaphragms. Never have sex without some kind of barrier protection. Don't just get the cheap or thin kind, there is always a chance of condom breaking, so increase your protection by using name brand, durable ones. you need to get tested occasionally for HIV or STDs too, most clinics do this for free.
good luck in your relationship, and stay safe.

OK, so I'll forgive you for sleeping through high school health class. There is only one way to 100% protect yourself: abstinence. But HAH! come on. We aren't going to do that, so you must use a condom EVERY TIME. It's true that oral contraceptives, shots, or the patch will protect her from pregnancy, but you need a condom to ensure yall won't pass any nasty STDs along. Have fun, stud.

First thing first. Not having sex is the best protection, but if you are going to do it both of you should get checked for STDs together. Don't go separately, and get your results together so you both are sure. If all is well after that use a condom with a spermicidal lubricant EVERY TIME you have sex.

Good luck

Well use a condom and make sure that your partner is checked for HIV/STD's before you have sex. The after she's checked go and have fun, but keep it clean, meaning make sure to use a condom and make sure to have 2 clean bodies...

If you are looking for a weapon to protect you against a genreal home intruder, S&W makes light weight and easy to conceal .22 revolvers. They run about $300-$500. They are ideal becuase they will disable the person, but they probably will not kill them unless you get in a head shot, or fire multiple rounds...(You do not want to get into a situation where you have to explain a dead guy in your house).

Safe Sex means No Sex.
Safer Sex means being careful,- always using condoms, asking about the other's sexual history (not NUMBERS) but whether they have had unsafe sex before, what they think of condoms ect
and perhaps not having a sexual relationship until you know the person has had a Sexual Health Check-up.

Abstinence is the only way to 100% protect yourself but if you know you are going to engage in this activity then triple up on the trojans.
