Because they offer the test in different languages, but all our signs are in english. Makes sense huh? (I was being sarcastic) Just another example of how we are way too accommodating as a country.

Thanks to the REAL ID Act, illegal immigrants can't get driver's licenses (I assume that's what you're talking about). Legal immigrants and legal non-immigrants can get licenses. The written portion of the test may be in another language, but the road signs aren't and neither is the driving portion. Why is English proficiency an issue anyway? I can go overseas and rent a car and drive around Germany without knowing German. Why is speaking English a requirement for driving in the US

Doesn't make much sense to me either. What I don't get is we had police from Mexico come up here and spend some time with our police officers to have a "cultural" exchange. One thing our officers learned is in Mexico they don't stop at stop signs unless they have to. It's more slow down, look and stop if you have to, but otherwise you can go right through it. Now even if they read the rules of the road in Spanish....it's still our rules of the road......not Mexicos. Now my manual covers not running from the scene of an accident, drunk driving, insurance requirements, child safety seats and the rest. So they can't claim ignorance that they didn't know this was a crime or safety issue you could be fined for. Yet they are screaming about being "targeted" for any enforcement of the laws. If you drive you are a target for driving violations. But we're supposed to just look the other way.

Oh, you mean being able to read street signs, traffic signs, construction warnings should be a requirement to having a license?
What a novel idea - too bad our country would rather have a dead construction worker run over by an illegal immigrant than "dare" to infringe on some illegal morons rights.
