there is a fine line between racism and respect and it sounds like you're on the respect side. stay there. you're right in saying that everyone is different and we should respect different races than ourselves but just make sure that you don't come off as offensive to anyone but i think you truly get the whole racism versus respect thing.

In what reference are guys saying that all women are the same? IN what ways are the women different? If all women have their unique circumstances(problems, issues, challenges, etc.) then aren't they the same at that point? Assuming that buys are looking to meet and date and marry these women, then the race or color is just like a feature on a car.
Let's look at the car reference, they all have to be insured, you need tags, you have to figure in gas, parking and maintenance. IN that aspect they are all the same even though there a many manufacturers makes and models.
Back to women, while some people might be offended by such a comment, if we are all human and have the same basic functions and needs, then would we all be the same? True there are individual differences, but then it depends on your point of reference or basically definition.
We know that no 2 snowflakes are the same, yet can you differentiate between any two?!? Most people could not, yet we do know that they are all unique. With people, though we may be better able to distinguish subtle and obvious differences, just like snowflakes, depending on what level you do your comparison, we are all the same. Identical twins can be spitting images of each other, but yet they aren't exactly the same. at what level are they are or aren't they?!?
Would such a statement be true? Obviously not, but I wouldn't call it B.S. either. Its could be a figurative statement. It depends on the source and the objective.

Everyone is different. I was raised to see the person not the color of their skin or the shape of their bodies. As a guy who has dated women of may different colors I must say that it is not just the woman who faces challenges but also the man. People have their own preferences on who they date. I hold no grudges against them. Just as I prefer to date a woman with a little meat on the body, if the person has a good and upbeat personality I would find them attractive.

all women face some kind of challenge, and yes sometimes it does depend on race. but sometimes it's not just race, it's preferences....like the white woman that dates black men, or the black woman that dates asian men. the statement you're speaking of was a statement that was made because some fool stated that a certain race of women was better than another...no they're not the same, but who are we to say that one race of women are better than another. i understand what you're saying and you are definitely right, they are different, but if they are black, or white , or any other race, they are the same in the since that they should be treated with love and respect because they are mothers and sisters. not to mention the fact when it comes to making love to them, you will find that all of them can feel just as good to you no matter what race they are...

Every one faces challenges. Not just black or white. The race does not matter. Regardless of color women usually see thing the same way. that's why we are women. However the beauty of a women is her own. No one can take that away from her. Not her facial beauty but the beauty of the heart. We all differ in the beauty of the heart. That's the REAL BEAUTY.

Sounds like men make these generalizations because they were probably hurt one too many times-relationship wise-. Because women do it all the time too....saying "men are dogs". That's because we've been hurt, and get tired of going thru the same things over and over. So I think it goes both ways.
Yes, all women are different, and so are men. However, I think it takes that a special woman to turn that man around so he doesn't make generalizations about women. and vice versa.

There are common concerns amongst both genders despite race and there are concerns that are race specific. Women of all races are concerned about rape and pregnancy. Generally black women resent black men dating white women more than white women resent white men dating black men. So some issues are race specific and some are not. I agree that they are all beautiful in their own way.

Everyone is different, period. The fact that they are different colors on top of other differences is just one more thing. No one should generalize, and when they do, they are only proving themselves to be small minded and simple. You recognize it, good for you.
And Robby, above me- you are a jack@ss! Sound like a jealous "lower" class person to me.... :)

Thank you for being (probably) the first person to address this issue. I've been getting seriously ill in the face of all these racial questions. You get the Rio Madeira Seal of Approval!
