I have heard of this but not with a wart. I know that if you have a chigger embedded in your (or your dog's) skin. The nail polish does not allow that area of the skin to breathe and the chigger will die.

Rather than using clear nail polish, use an over the counter wart remover. They are not much more expensive than clear nail polish.

On a side note, I've heard that duct tape will remove a wart. The chemical in the tape breaks the ward down. (Don't just rip it off) I think it takes a couple days

Good luck

I know that the duct tape really works. It's inexpensive and can be fairly quick. Leave the tape on for a few days and remove to see if the wart will come off. You may have to do a few applications.
