I think there's a psychological element at work here, because most women just "have that feeling" that their man should be taller. It's probably a left-over gene from those Stoneage Times lol. The woman has an instinctive need for her man to be bigger, taller, stronger. He was the one who had to bring home the dinasaur leg for supper.
I admit that I, too, want my man to NOT be the "petit" one in the family . I take care of the "pretty". The "big, tall, strong"stuff is his department LOL. The only thing that would override that " instinctive thing" for me - if I was still single and looking - would be if the man wasn't a LOT shorter than me (like more than an inch and a half perhaps) also if what he lacked in height he more than made up for in all or most of the other qualities that I would naturally be looking for in a husband
In a situation like this, it would be a case of my weighing everything. The fact that he was vertically challenged on one side of the scale balanced against all other positive factors on the other side. If the positives just sent that side of the scales down all the way with a bang, then, yes, I would overlook that one thing about him that "came up short" LOL .

Ever heard the expression "blinded by love"?
I would date a guy shorter than me. Why? Well, because I don't care what they look like. Okay, that's a lie. But height shouldn't be a factor.
Anyways, I have dated a guy an inch shorter than me. So there. Haha.

Yes, I would, yes I have & yes I would again...in fact my ex husband was 2" shorter than me...and no the divorce had nothing to do w/ him being shorter than me...the difference in height never caused an issue...now that I'm in the single life..it's nice to date guys that are my height & also taller than me considering my ex & I were together for 18 yrs...but it's really not a big deal to date someone shorter than you....if you like the guy..that's all that matters...go for it...good luck! :-)

Been there, done that. I'm 5-10 so there's been quite a few guys that I've dated who were shorter than me. Not now though...guy I'm seeing is 6-5, and I'm loving it.

I personally don't date men shorter then. And that is my problem. I judge men for whats on the outside. But that's just me. If you like someone shorter then you then just go for it. Maybe the short ones will surprise you.

I couldn't, I like my guy to be a lot taller... my ex is 6'2 and I'm 5'6 lol. If the guy is shorter than you it looks awkward.. and you can't wear heels!
Didn't Nicole Kidman say the best thing about getting divorced from Tom was that she could wear heels again!?

I wouldn't because I'm 5' 2". But 5' 5" and above would work for me. Height doesn't matter when it comes to love. Plus what difference would it make if he treated you the way you wanted to be treated. In my experience short men have been blessed in other areas (smile). Don't let the height fool you.

I'm not tall so if a guy is shorter than me... he would be tooo short and I don't think I would be attracted to him. I really like average height guys though....

well, right now its still kind of the stage when the girls go throuht puberty before guys you know, 8th grade, SOME boys are really small, but only like an inch or so smaller, but you know they'll grow out of it, and so its the personality, but it Is romantic to look up to them. but size shouldn't matter.
