It goes something like,

1111 blah street
stupid town, IL, 22222 . . . then what? is the next line your country? does the country have a code, too?

next line is the name of the country, and through hard experience, put a comma after the country and name the continent (and portion thereof)...for example

Cote du Ivory, East Africa .....or
French Guiana, South America .....or
Uzbekistan, Asia .....or
Kenya, West Africa

Once I sent a letter to Mali, Africa and it floated through every damn country in East Africa before finally getting to Mali in North Africa 4 weeks late. Stupid postal clerks have zero grasp of geography!!!!!!!!

The next line would be the name of the country.
Different countries have addresses different ways. I would put a code where you have put it, after the name of the state but that's not always correct.
You should really know the correct address of someone before you try to mail anything or there's a very good chance your letter will never get there.

name 1111Blah street Stupid town, Country, zip. I worked for the po and you address it like you do in the states. but if it is like Canada, you put Canada zip, and then put UK or if it is germany do the same.
