I want a v cut for my hair... got any tips?

I want to have a v cut with long hair, but I wonder when I should get it cut. My hair right now is a little below my boobs. But I want it like this:

I don't know, just any random tips on keeping a v cut.

Cut it any time. Mid-back length (what you've got) looks good in a V!

You can get it cut anytime and have it grow into that style or wait until it gets as long as in the pic. But even with shorter hair it will look good too. Your choice.
