Lots of people would say "who cares" about this and other relaxed trips out when wearing pajamas, slippers, etc in public.
HOWEVER, there are very good reasons to look presentable when you leave your home. Here are a few:
-You could run into someone important/someone you haven't seen for a while who wants to talk to you
-It shows respect for yourself and those around you--you cared enough to get dressed
-An emergency, traffic jam, long line, etc can keep you out longer than expected...and god forbid a traffic accident or flat tire!
If you really must go out with rollers, I agree with another poster-cover with a scarf or hat if you can.

Call a friend or a relative for a favor, give them your shopping list and some gas money.
If no one helps you out, save up for a curling iron.
Sorry, But when I see women out in public with rollers I am embarrased for them. I would never do it.
I am not shallow or anything, I just think that's tacky.

Put a scarf over the rollers and go out and do what you need to do.

Either call a friend, just deal with it and try covering with a hat or scarf, or depending on what you need....in this day of age, it seems you can order everything online and have it delivered that same day.

Do what you need to do. I did this before we left on our trip. I wanted my curls to last so I went out with them in all day. I don't worry about others thoughts when they are not paying my bills.
