the one time I went to go get a facial, the girl insulted my skin and I felt horrible. I am really insecure about my skin (even tho it's really not that bad but just inconsistent) - the inconsistent breakouts are driving me nutz. Would a facial help breakouts and an unfortunate big bump zit on my chin that will not go away? Thanks for your help :)

First of all, there's a big difference in facials you get at a beauty shop (more for relaxation) and clinical facials. You need a clinical facial - - - which is more expensive and done in a specialized spa or a dermatologist office. A clinical facial will help clear up your skin and they can tell you which products will keep your skin blemish free.

yes a facial will definetly help, they can zap all of your zits so they eventually disapear, they speed up the process, a facial is great for your skin and decreases the chance of breakouts. Ask about there products too to keep your skin looking beautiful. I know esticians can be mean I was told i don't care about my skin, that it is dehidrated and I don't drink enough water. Some are rude but I guess it was good to know. Just go somewhere else and best of luck to you.

Sounds like you need a good dermatologist and not a facial. Although her response was inappropriate, she may not be used to handling a variety of skin types. Also, if you are having bad breakouts, you may be sensitive to the products used in the facial. It's best to see a doctor first and then decide if you want to try for another facial.

hi I'm a beautician, and let me tell u the break outs u are having are normal if Ur going thru puberty otherwise u just have oily skin, a facial could help but u need to use the right products after wards, for example a sebaceous normalizing cream! in other words a cream that helps regulate you "breakouts" and at the same time isnt agressive on ur skin

You should try to find a highly recommended salon in your area. I recommend city search or similar with real reviews. Normally a professional would never insult or be rude to their client. You should not be afraid to go back because of one bad experience. A good facial once a month or more will help your skin stay clear and gorgeous. They can also get rid of bothersome blackheads and blemishes.

first, go to a dermatologist!!!! then get a facial after you find out if theres anything the doctor can do first...sounds like you need to be on some acne medication FIRST then the fun stuff (the facial) can follow!!
