Im female so I have never been a best man before. But I do have a few ideas. He can check the internet of wedding toast ideas such as google or ask.com. There should be millions of ideas and toasting help. He could also add a personal touch by adding something that happened to them once or when he first met the bride. Something funny always adds a touch of rememberance.

Lots of possibilities. Often the best man tells a funny story about the groom or the happy couple. How did the couple meet? Did the groom do anything funny or embarrassing trying to impress the bride? How has the bride changed the groom for the better?

The one toast I gave I told a funny story about the couple's first (or was it second?) date. My friend wanted to impress the new lady in his life so he took her to a trendy restaurant, which he had never been to before. He got so turned around trying to find the place he wound up driving the wrong way down a one-way street. You guessed it, he got pulled over by the police on his first date.

The best ending I have ever heard is "Before too long may you have more than a fence running around your yard."

keep it short, compliment the bride and usually say something about how she has made the groom a better man, or how he gets excited around her. and wish them many wonderful years together or something like that.

If they've been friends a long time, tell a cool story from their youth.
