I have these sharp pains in my lower stomach/back area and I'm not sure what they are or how to make them go away ... I had an upper gi earlier this week, with anesthesia, which I suspect may be a culprit ...

I've tried taking pepto and it's not doing much. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

I've gotten these pains before and don't believe they require a trip to the ER - they are mostly uncomfortable, but not debilitating.

Could it be your gall bladder? I had similar pains, RIGHT hand side of my body and my back also. Could be VERY painful at times. I had my gall bladder removed years ago, and that was the only thing that stopped the pain.

Try laying down on your back and rubbing your stomach in a clockwise position. This usually helps patients with this kind of pain. If it does not subside see your physician!
