Does brushing your teeth with an electric toothbrush really clean them better than a manual toothbrush?

I am going to be fitted with braces fairly soon and people say that you should buy an electric toothebrush. I have looked at prices and they are reasonabaly priced but i don't want to wase money. (well who doesn't) so i was wondering wether an electric toothbrush will clean my teeth better than a normal one.

I have used both and have decided that a manual toothbrush is superior.

With braces, I find that electric toothbrushes are better because the bristles don't break off as easily. With manual toothbrushes, it is common for me to find little bristle parts in my mouth after brushing. That is hardly a pleasant surprise!

I use an electric toothbrush because of that problem alone. It is also said that the electric toothbrush cleans more accurately, because it is easier to cover all of your teeth with the electric than the manual.

However, without braces the manual is far superior, and I find cleans my teeth better. If you aren't sure about buying the electric toothbrush, I say its fine to stick with the manual. It certainly won't do you any harm, and will certainly clean your teeth well if used properly.

If you do end up buying an electric toothbrush, I would suggest that you ask your dentist about the most effective way of cleaning your teeth. I found from my dentist that an electric toothbrush requires a slightly different technique.

I have used both and like the manual much better. I find that my teeth feel much cleaner using the manual.

Yes they do but get one that plugs in they are the best
