In NYC the 10 codes only go to 10-98 which means available for assignment. Some 10 codes are made up after that by the cops themselves.....In my day a 10-300 meant no further response needed, justice administered at the scene....got it

10 codes are not exclusive to the police and it is almost always different from one organization to the next 10-300 might mean that to one police agency and something completely different to another i hope that helps
