Chocolate contains chemicals that have this affect on you. Some cultures consider(ed) chocolate as an aphrodisiac, e.g. the Aztecs. If you read the source article below, you'll see it mention something called seratonin. This is a chemical that your brain releases, and interestingly enough, bright sunlight causes more of it to be released, which is why gloomy rainy days can leave you feeling down - you have less seratonin.

Because anyone who saw "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" would know that Johnny Depp explains why chocolates do this! They have a property which when induced into our system will trigger endorphins which causes this chemical reaction... silly!

its an afrodeciact lol probably spelt that wrong but chocolate has good properties that make u feel relaxed and calm ur spirit plus it has antioxidants that fight off stressors and radicals leaving the skin calm and body feeling good
