You mean that she's using you guys as a pacifier, right? Usually cats or dogs who have been taken away from their mother's before they are weaned still have the sucking need. Do what their mothers would do, and that is just push her away when she starts sucking on you. When we first got our cat, she was 8 weeks old and she used to suck on the back of my dog's back. He would just get up to walk away and she would just roll off of him. She was cured of the sucking shortly after. It may take a little longer since you cat is already older, but try pushing her away anyway.

My kitten did this ALOT when I first got him, and it is so aggravating. Within seconds theres this big spot of spit, annoying. What I do when he starts is blow a real quick burst of air at his face, and then when he is distracted give him alot of petting. I also use the "3 times youre gone rule". I do the blowing thing 3 times, and if he persists, shove him away. Hes only about 8 months old and still tries it from time to time, but not nearly as often or persistantly. Good luck!

Cats do this when they had a rough time when they were very little, it comforts them greatly to do this. You could be causing her more trauma to make her feel she is bad for doing this, so if you can stand it, just let her- it's in her best interest and she will most likely stop eventually.

She only does it for confort. She views you and your mom as her mom. My boys still do nursing behavior and their ages range from 3 to 7. If it bothers you, treat it as a bad habit and stop her. But if it's something you don't mind, it won't hurt her for you to let her continue.

I thought my 8 month old cat was the only one with these issues. We have to hide our finger tips or he tries to nurse. It was really cute when he was 1 month old but now it just looks really weird. Maybe your cat will outgrow it soon .......maybe.
