Is it like opening a checking account and they give you a temporary card? Or do I have to wait 10 days? I need this credit for an emergency, any suggestions? FYI, bank is Bank of America

If you get instant approval, you could have your card in 5 - 10 business days. If you talk to the representative from Bank of America they may be able to put a rush on your card and you could have it within a day or two. I have lost my credit card before form Bank of America and they overnighted me a new one. If you explain your situation, they maybe able to rush out the card for you. Good Luck!

Be very VERY careful when using credit cards. Is it really an emergency?? You might be better off getting a conventional loan, credit card interest can be 25% or more, and by only paying the minimum balance can take years to pay off.

I don't know. I think each bank is different. Usually, you have to wait for a card and PIN. Maybe they will give you some temporary checks you could use right away.

Depends on the bank. I would be careful with bank of america!! Not the best rep. I would ask a customer service rep at the bank. They are usually eager to let you access $. Good luck!

Yes, that's sound advise....Regarding making payments on your collection accounts, don't make the mistake of blindly cutting checks and think that this will magically raise your score...I would negotiate Pay for Delete agreements PRIOR to paying them...you want to negotiate that they will remove the items from your credit report.
