I think that God could have evolved with the use of artificial intelligence or genetic engineering on this or another planet. Would that be considered a God, or not because it is a "natural" and not a "supernatural" being. Could that be a God of a traditional religion? If so, should Christians and other traditionalists be pushing for genetic engineering in order to create their God? Is this version easier to accept than traditional religion, because it is more grounded in reason than faith?

Wow did I just offend the atheists and the religious people simultaneously? Is that not impressive?

He created nature and the "natural" way of things so it's not magic to do otherwise, He can do what He wants really. God never changes, but PEOPLE do, so as the times and people on earth change, so does the way He handles us. Maybe back in the day parting an ocean wasn't crazy, it was just God being Himself. These days, it would just cause chaos in the world and there'd be so many arguments about it and most people wouldn't give Him any credit for it, they'd give some BS scientific reason for it. See what I'm sayin? He's smart, He does things and doesn't do things for very good reasons :)

In a sense God evolved by aquiring wisdom. But not from one form into another.
WISDOM SPEAKING
Pro 8:22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
Pro 8:23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
Pro 8:24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
Pro 8:25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
Pro 8:26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
Pro 8:27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
Pro 8:28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
Pro 8:29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
Pro 8:30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
Pro 8:31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

The living God who created heaven and earth, etc and raveled Himself through the bible and the Son has no equal and can not be replaced. You may fool yourself and some others and come up with any concept of a god you wish. The real God is not afraid. He will let you be wrong.

You said "grounded in reason" Well mans "reason" is far less advanced than God's reason, man cannot understand or comprehend God's reason.
1st Cor. 2:14 says that the natural man cannot understand the things that are of the spirit of God for it is foolishness to him, nor can he know them for they are spiritually discerned.
This is obvious, man does not have the mental ability to comprehend God's reason unless he is born again.
like it or not, you can "thumbs down" it all you want, other peoples inability to accept the truth does not deminish the facts.
accept it.

God creates us. What we have today - engineering, science, etc - are all from God. Thus, it is tremendously eccentric for people to impose such blasphemous unnecessary whatsoever you are suggesting about God.
God knows best

Grounded on what reasoning?
You need to do a hell of a lot more homework before asking questions like this.

Grace: spiritual only, but not spiritual food poison.
