i have the soft ware installed its just that whe i click on microsoft word it says that it needs more files to for it to work,. so i need a place where i canvalidate my copy to get a cd or a download since i did buy it when it camewith my computer. i will choose best answer!

open Internet explorer
click on tools
click on windows update
it will validate your software or download the validation tool.
just follow directions for updates choosing the "custom" method to see any software updates

when you go to the microsoft site, and try to download any of the free product or updates, they will check you computer to see if you havea a valid copy of works.

I was told to go to microsoft.com or download.com. I would try microsoft first.
