Aerobic exercise is the healthiest way to burn fat; lots of running, swimming, jump rope, etc. Also, your body turns the excess energy (food) you take in as fat, so that if it is short on food, it has a stock up supply. If you eat less, your body may resort to using up some of that fat too. (Which is why animals who hibernate eat a lot and get all fat, so that when they're asleep,and not eating, their body relies on the fat it's stored up) But if your going down that route, you definitely want a professional's advice, like a nutritionist. Drink or eat apple cider vinegar. It will help you not only burn extra fat, it will also relieve heartburn
