My daughter was apicky eater until I let her help aound in the kitchen I found books aimed towards kids and the kitchen and read them to her..Even at two years old I had her helping. She would help at the store by trying to get thngs off the shelf for me to put in the cart and the same at home I would have her help by helping me get ingredients. We would look at recipes together and she would piont out something that looked fun to make and it made all the difference in the world with her.

One of our favorites was smiley faces
Just get a can of cresent rolls
1 package of americean cheese
1 package og hotdogs

Make slice in hot dog and place cheese in to slit.then wrap Hot dog with the cresent roll.Bake at 350 for about 10 - 15 minutes unil cresent rolls are done and cheese is nice and goey.

It is fun and different.

Excellent answer Lyn.

I would second all of that. My children are picky as well. Some of the time, I'll cater to them (to have a peaceful evening) but most of the time they have to eat what I serve or don't eat. Most children in this country (USA) are so over-fed that a day or so without a meal won't hurt too badly. Once their hunger gets the better of them, they'll learn to love their dinners.

I was a picky eater. My Mom got me over a lot of it by enforcing some rules like I couldnt leave the table until I ate what was on my plate or if I sais that I hated it (hate being the key word there) I got more of it. Get her to try things as snacks, and soon she'll come around, I did. :D

You don't say how old she is but you have 2 choices: you can either cater to her palate for the rest of your life and live off beef until she eventually gets sick of that too or; you can sweetly tell her that if she does not like what you're cooking she is welcome to a nice bowl of Cheerios. Actually there is a 3rd choice, if she's old enough, ask her to plan 1 or 2 dinners a week (your other kids can join in too), that way she can enjoy her favorites in moderation.

Well for starters you are the parent and she will learn to eat what you cook or get very skinny. I mean really how can you rationalize letting her rule what you do? She only a child and they need to be taught what is good for them not dictate how things will be.

My kids eithe eat what I make or they don't get to eat plain and simple.

I have an eleven year old daughter and the best way to get her to eat healthily is by getting her to come shopping and helping me to make the dinners, she really enjoys eating her efforts and following the recipes, hope this helps
