At least ten times a day someone asks what to do about a friend they are secrectly in love with. And 99% of the people say "Just tell" it has been my experience that this rarely works, in fact I can't think of a single case where it has ever worked and I want to know if there are any true life tales of it working out.
Preferably tales where a friend told YOU they liked you.

My best friend told me he loved me after three years, wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and all that. Always preferred the company of the opposite sex. Anyway I didn't have the same feelings for him and straight out told him. Just couldn't imagine having sex with him. We hung for a few weeks still and then he left town. We kept in contact for a while and then lost contact completely over the next three years. I heard he is now married and so am I. I reckon we would still be in contact if he had not of told me. But I do believe that good friends make the best partners.

Yes it does. My fiance and I stated off as friend, drinking buddies. After some time, we had the meaningful glances, the 'accidental touches', etc. And then one night for a party of a mutual friend, he made his move. We're engaged with a 4mth baby boy, going tomorrow to view the land for our house and once that is confirmed setting the date for our wedding (we already decided March).

i and my husband was friend for 5 years we being together now 10 years with 2 kids some its all up to you and the friend whom you are in love with or who's in love with you

yes it does work. i had been friends with my b/f for 4 years and then i started to like him more than a friend so i just told him that i liked him and we have been going out for about a year now

Not most of the the time,it defends maybe you develop with him/her because sometimes friends are always together for gathering or any occasion, if you are compatible even it started with friends it will work. and most of the time i think it's better

me and my girlfriend were friends for about 3yrs and now we've been lovers for almost 2yrs now... i can personally say it has worked out for us
