You can get a temporary learner's permit at 15 and a half but you are limited to only driving with a licensed driver at least 21 years old in the passenger seat. You cannot drive at night etc...

You can get a driver license at age 16 but you must first obtain a learner's permit and pass a certified driver's education course. If you are over the age of 18 you can obtain a license without the driver's ed class.

There is a new law that going into effect in April that states drivers under age 17 can only have one non-relative passenger and cannot drive after midnight without a parent or guardian passenger.

You need to be 16 for a license
