Here is my translation. A female is saying this:

My memories (of the person she is talking about) are always good (beautiful) however
that is the extent . I want more (I am hungry for more).
Truly, in this painful night.
Why, I wonder?
Why can I not remember the tears of that person?
I cannot remember.
Why?

I have a pretty good understanding of the song, but after 25 years doubt that I could put into exact accurate English. Although It does seem that some of the words are conjoined.

"Omoi de wa itsumo kirei dake do." [Memories are always beautiful--
only
"Honto wa setsunai yoru nano ni."

I tried to copy and paste the above sentences into Babelfish.com for you and got nowhere. Using a hand-held Japanese to English dictionary, the only sentence I think that I can safely translate is the 5th one down. "That man cries or heavily mourns"-- something like that. The third sentence down is maybe: "In fact, call or drop in...".

Sorry, I don't know Japanese but wanted to help.
