Well given that the weight did not come on over night but in fact a duration of time. It will take equally that amount of time to shed those pounds. I myself have put on between 12-15 pounds in the last year, all though that may not sound like much but given I am only 5ft 2In it is. I have been reading mens Muscle fitness (I know that I am a girl) but it has given me some insight as to how to get in shape. First things first is cut out the crap, think whole/raw foods (unprocessed foods) I personally believe anything that doesn't come from natural ingrediants should not be put in your body anyways. You can't go to garden and pull a twinkie off a tree or you can't go to a lake and get a glass of coca cola. Therefore I would suggest water, veggies, fruits, Meats or something to supplement the protien if you are vegeterian. Incorporating 40 minutes of cardio into your daily routine although 30 minutes is good, but after you twenty you are just getting your heart rate to a pace that is going to start burning so I would personally suggest 40. Start with a brisk walk, I am starting with running which I truly hate, but I know that in the end it will pay off and I will be pleased with the results. Just remember patience and hard work as well as dedication. You will not see any dramatic results for atleast a month or two but don't get down on yourself think possitive and I would love to hear from you as far as results. Good luck to you and stay possitive!

First of all cut off all kinds of fatty, fried food (Fast food included), fizzy drinks, like coke and stick to drinking organic juices and water.

Everyday walk for about 1 hour or jog for 30min.

Stick to having only 3 meals a day instead of haing 3 meals and small snacks in between.

Here's a bit of advice: If you feel hungry even though you've just eaten something, stop and restrain yurself for about 5 mins and you'll find that yur not that hungry at all! Its just yur tummy telling you it wants more even though it doesnt need it.

Go out with yur frnds more, to movies or to the park, anywhere! But remeber to walk there!

Im really sorry but Im afraid yur gonna have to stop eating too much chocolate. Make it once a week that you have a bar.

Ive heard yoga also helped people lose weight but you gotta know how to do it correctly. Ask around and see if you can find any professional yoga teachers.

Good Luck sweety!!
:)

I just answered a question similar to this one and I'm going to give you the same answer...
let me tell you, you can lose weight super fast by tons of fad diets out there like the no carb diet but you will gain it back even faster and then some, my friend did that no carb diet and lost tons of weight she looked great, the best ever but screwed up one weekend and it all came back now she's back to square one. Me, I've been doing Weight Watchers for almost 4 years and have kept my weight off! You can eat what you want, it's all about portions and control. You lose 1-2 pds a week but believe me you would be happier in the long run! Good luck!

Last November, I stopped eating foods with added sugar (no candy, cake or cookies, no regular soda). To lower my cholesterol, I gave up eating pork and beef more than once per month and added fiber to my basic diet by eating fiber-rich cereal with 1% milk and also eating fresh fruit - that apple-a-day you hear about is a great way to add fiber. I also began to walk at least 30 minutes a day - that's EVERY day - and hiking up and downhill for an hour or more at least once per week. I lost 40 pounds in just under 5 months and have kept it off for 10 months now, simply by following that agenda. It is relatively easy to stick to this diet - there are SO many sugar-free low-calorie treats that can be added as special treats, and chicken can be spiced up with low-fat, high-fiber salsa. Give it a try - and good luck!!

Start cutting out the fat from your diet and exercise. I have just lost 3 lbs this week by not eating junk and walking 1/2 hour a day.
Increase the amount of water too so it flushes the fat from your system.

What is FAT to you really determines the answer.
Figure out what your calorie intake is and then what it should be according to height weight and age. Then try to get it to either the amount you need or lessen it.
Drink lots of water.
Exercise regularly to the point where you sweat. That shows you are "working it"
Create a plan (menu and scheduled eating times).
Never give up and maybe check out eDiets.com It is a really helpful link and will no doubt lead you to others.Good luck

I was once big myself. I say to do what everyone has allways heard. Cut portions eat more frequently smaller meals drink water and stay away from junk food for a while, exercise. I would also have a thyroid check sometimes it is not even your fault. Good Luck!

listen eat right and exercise.

http://www.mypyramid.gov

hydrate and moderate the garbagy foods.. it's that simple.. you moderate the calories.. watch that fat and cholesterol (which helps in energizing you for exercising) you'll lose that 50lbs in the next 7 months.

:D

don't force it... in the begining you'll drop fast.. then slow down.. then jump back up in weight gently then stick to the weight..don't get frustrated.. then back down again... it happens this is normal.

weigh yourself in the morning.. then in the evening, see how much food weight you're taking in.

and monitor your weight through out the weeks.

don't starve yourself.. don't cheat.. no pills.. .no diet plans.. like atkins... you'll regret it big time... use a regular diet.. one you can use for freaking ever... like the food pyramid.

take the stairs... ride a bike... walk, walk, walk.. toe touches.. and stretch! getting into yoga can help... find someone in your city/county who teaches it.

it will be worth it.. alot of pains happen when you lose weight.. back pain.. shoulder... the yoga can not only stop that nonsense but it will help keep the muscles elastic and break up that dead weight and goop in your body.

the purer and fresher the food the better... have fresh veggies and fruits instead of t.v. dinner... (even if it's weight watchers...) stay away from packaged garbage...

read those lables.. the more ingrediants that you can't figure out what they are.. put it down and get corn on the cob.... apples... spinach.... peaches... soy milk... it's hard at first.. but over time if you stick with it.. you'll get this surreal high and your body will feel like it's floating and that it's empty... a good empty.. you'll know it when it hits... and alot of the problems will stop too..

any constipation... heart burn... tiredness... stuffiness.

the fresher the better... drink juices that aren't concentrated too!

if you can get a juicer.. you'll find that will be very helpful. when you go out.. get lean and untainted chicken... such as NOT BREADED or deep FRIED.... when you get salads... don't get salads pounded with additives like dressings and cheeses... croutons... ask them to be modest, very light with it if you want that.

eat more veggies, fruits.

when asking for mixed drinks.. ask if they mix it with fresh stuff or stuff in bottles.... (there's always mixes with garbage in it.. but for instance.... a strawberry daqueri: if the strawberry is more cornsyrup than strawberry, make your own....)

wine is always good.. red wine.. but watch those triglycerides... (they make ya fat too and is just as bad as cholesterol... though cholesterol doesn't make you fat.. just stuffy and tired.)

take your time.. don't be so eager to lose so fast.. but do stick with the program... take it slow... learn about foods and package stuff... learn about fast food.. learn about t.v. dinners.. learn about diet programs.. (learn about how you have to stick with them or else... also learn why you shouldn't stick with them because they're unhealthy.... believe me.. jenny craig, weight watcher.. atkins... hollywood diet... all those diets are not healthy.. you can't stay on them for the rest of your life.. these diets starve the body of essential nutrients. and when you stop them... your body will put the weight back on and then some)

do the food pyramid.. i can't say that enough.. why? it's a diet that's sensible.. no gimmicks.. no promises.. it's the only diet that i know of that has all the vitamins, minerals and it's more well balanced than any other diet i know of.

of course you knew this... eat those veggies... don't eat too much desert... and walk those calories off.

calories are calories no matter how you count them.... just make sure they're not empty calories.

:D

good luck.
