Industrial UT:
Level 3 most likely. If your employer has more than one lev 3, then the "responsible" UT Lev 3 is highest per NAS 410.

Some people consider an ASNT Lev 3 to have more status than a private company's sanction. But, one can retake the ASNT exams as many times as need be to pass. Private industry typically limits your failed attempts to 3 times.

On the off chance you're unfamiliar with the levels:
Lev 1 typically prepares part, runs parts (UT=does the scan), and any post inspection activities (Clean part, etc)

Lev 2 is certified to interpet the results of the scan, and evaluate it for acceptance per exhisting criteria. Lev 2 is capable of acting as Lev 1 and can train/supervise same.

Lev 3 is capable of acting as lev 1, 2. And is responsible for entire system. Most likely Lev 3 will conduct training and adminster exams to certify the lev 2's and 1's.

it determines with respect to the velocity ratio if the time required for the ultrasonic waves is more it implies that the concrete is strong..if the time limit is lesss it implies the concrete is weak...

so the time frequency should be more..more time means more dense the concrete is...

it may vary from size of the structure component...

we still have demerits in this...since if the points we select should be the places where the reinforcement should not come in contact with the waves,,,so the points where the testing is to be made should not cross the reinforcement...

now a days we have..
core cutting method
x-ray diffraction analysis
ultrasonic pulse vewlocity testing
pull out test
pull off test
rebound hammer test
and.....i need to refer boobks back...

these tests are valid only if the testing is done with more than 2 above said methods...

so all the very best?
