When Jesus did the right thing and was baptized by John in the Jordan river that was witnessed by all that were around....What was the source of the voice that everyone heard? That said, "This is my Son of whom I am well pleased." Was it just there combined imaginations? Surely everyone could not have thought the same thing, Or was it God speaking out of thin air?

The main word is (WITNESSED!) everybody..

John 3:13-17 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan.....vs.15
And Jesus answering said unto him, SUFFER IT TO BE SO NOW; FOR THUS IT BECOMETH US TO FULFIL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. Then he suffered him.
And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water; and, lo, the heavens opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him;
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Christ set the example of going down into the water to be baptized and God told all that Jesus was his Son and He was well pleased!
How wonderful !
What a Saviour and heavenly Father we have!

Many secular, non-biased sources record the crucifixion of Yshua bar-Ysef, whom the Christians call 'Jesus'. While they do not at all agree on the resurrection, they do agree on his existence.

There is no record, NONE, of this story outside of the Bible. Since the Bible is a biased source, it cannot be considered reliable.

Care to provide reliable documentation of the event? If such a large crowd witnessed it, why in all the writings we have from the time and the following two generations, is there absolutely no mention of this event other than the Bible?

I assume you knew someone who was there. No? Well, maybe you know someone who knew someone. No? I got it .. it was "written.." right? Well .. maybe you know who wrote it. You do? You think it was Matthew, Mark or Luke? Well keep thinking, because nobody knows who wrote that - the names mean nothing, they are latter-day attributions - 300-odd years later. (My findings are public knowledge and can be found in countless biblical scholar publications).

So ... I'm guessing you're going to believe it even if you haven't a clue who wrote it. But why would you assume I have to believe something as "true" or "witnessed" when the only thing you can produce is anonymous text, compiled hundreds of years after the events?

The voice that was heard was God's own voice. It was not imaginations but reality. He is omnipotent and omnipresent. Though He dwelt in Jesus he was still there in Heaven. Today He lives in the lives of many believers and yet He is sits on His throne in heaven

It was written in a book by an author you never met or knew. In the first Star Wars Movie, thousands witnessed Luke Skywalker receive his medal. Is this proof Star Wars is true? Think please! Just because someone claims there were witnesses does not necessarily mean there were witnesses.

In the context of the story, it had to be God. The main word is "story". You did not witness this, and you have no way to prove that the books in the Bible were actually written by people who did, and not the Catholic Church.

Here is the thing, if you are going to believe one part of the Bible, you have to believe all of it. So if Jesus was baptized, then it was God that spoke.
