spread limit means that you can bet anything from this amount and another amount. so in your case anywhere between 2 dollars and 4 dollars Preflop, on the Flop, on the Turn and on the River. example: a spread limit 2-5 game means you can bet anywhere between 2 and 5 dollars on any street.
as far as your bankroll, it really depends on how you play. If you are a tight player, i'd say your bankroll should be about 500 dollars. If you are a maniac and likes to play a lot, then I'd bring 1000 or more. good luck.

"Spread limit" means that you can bet any amount within the listed range. In a $2-$4 spread limit game you can bet/raise $2, $3, or $4 on your turn. The blinds most likely will be $1 and $2.
However, 2-4 spread limit seems like an odd game. Usually spread limit has a wider betting range, along the lines of 1-4, 2-6, 2-8, etc. I suspect that the game you mention might instead be a 2-4 FIXED limit game, in which case you can bet in increments of $2 before and after the flop, and increments of $4 after the turn and river.
As for how much to bring to the table...the conventional wisdom says to buy in with 25 times the big bet. At a 2-4 table, you'll want to buy in for $4 x 25, or $100. This should keep you playing for a while, but you might want another 10-25 big bets available to put into play if you start slow.

Spread limit is seen in hold'em but is more common in 7 card stud. Fixed limit is a certain amount like in a 2-4 game you have to bet either 2 dollars or 4 dollars on the turn. And in spread limit like a 1-5 game you can bet anywhere from 1-5 dollars at anytime. So if someone bet 2 dollars and you wanted to make the maximum raise it would be 7 dollars. As far as the buy-in amount, i would buy-in for as much as i can because you want to have chip power at the table at all times.

My advice is to stick with what you are used to. You can find daily tournaments at many casinos. Treasure Island has a very good one (nice new card room) that is about $60 to buy in and they hold three per day.
Pick up a copy of Card Player magazine (available in most card rooms), and at the back you will see the times for all the tournaments in Vegas. They are very much like the sit and gos you are used to playing.
I really would steer clear of limit games. People tend to play the low stakes games like a slot machine. They just keep calling every bet and hope they get lucky. At least with NL games you can really make people think and fold their junk. I enjoyed the $1/$3 NL game at TI. Buy in is about $200 max I think.
